Wow it’s been a long time. I’ve been having weird feelings about posting/forming my ‘art identity’ on here or wherever or whatever. I feel constricted a lot by my imaginary selves. Or potential selves? And the way I think of them. The lives I could live in The Future keep arguing. 

Another year of uni has passed. And now I’m doing stuff for fun - not ‘art’ stuff, just stuff-that-I-like. I’ve missed trying to craft things nicely. It seems I always have a make-pretty-things relapse when school ends. And I’m trying to accept it. I like to make things. That look nice. But I also like to make art stuff that does other things. [This has turned into a bit of a diary note. Sorry. Maybe it’s done that for a reason? I’m trying to roll with it.] There’s one year left of my BFA and I know when I move home for the summer there will be questions about my Future Plans. I’m not sure what they are yet. The Future could be so many things. It is so big. There are too many things! Right now I’m just trying to get comfortable with making and art-ing co-existing with me and my thinking and living and reading and so on. My general existence. Trying not to dig moats or build walls between everything. While trying to build an existence for me in that mixed kingdom of things that seem good to me (and good for me?). 

Anyway. Back to the thing. I think I’ll just post whatever is happening in my little sphere at the moment (The Present– is that you??) and try not to overthink. Hopefully this internet thing gets more comfy. Hopefully living-in-the-world does too. We’ll see.
